"Gitte Brandt was born in 1952. She has an MA in french and philosophy, works as a cultural journalist and as a self-taught painter. She is married to art dealer Thomas Brandt with whom she has two daughters: Fanny, aged 12 and Rose, aged 8 as well as the dog Lolita aged 1.
She lives most year by the lakes in central Copenhagen. Her work is created here as well as in Tisvilde, Northern Zealand and Biron, Perigord in France.
She has sold her work to most of Scandinavia as well as to Germany and France. Was commisioned to decorate Krebs School among other places in Copenhagen."
