i have had this image saved on my computer for what seems like forever now... and i am just now posting it...
it's from a sneak peak into the wonderfactory's office on design*sponge last year - this is the entrance into their "idea room".... it's almost like you're walking into narnia... what a great way to make room for coats. coat closets are always what i forget to plan for when i'm laying out a space at work... maybe i should just use this as a backup option instead?

whoa. there is just too much goodness to take it all in in these photographs! - oh, to be surrounded by beauty like this all the time...
note: i would probably give my right arm to have the craft room setup like this last one...

s.r. gambrel
steven gambrel has some pretty amazing work in his portfolio... to die for, really. i'll let the images speak for themselves....

love love love it all. i love how he uses color - and he doesn't use much pattern, but he doesn't need them because he uses textures oh so well....

tetris tiles = awesome
i love these tiles! - they take me back to the good ole days of playing gameboy in the back seat on a long trip.... i used to love me some tetris - i can still hear the music!

and, the company can make them in practically any pantone color, which is pretty awesome as well.

must-have reading room
oh my goodness, what a great reading room this is... not only do you have built-in-bookshelves, but there's also a cute little window (or two) two tucked in there, and two classic womb chairs to curl up in.... mmmmm

it's in a pretty awesome house by hugh newell jacobson.... i found it here.

quite an amazing office
this post from max wanger's blog a few days ago makes me seriously jealous of the spanish architects who work here. i feel like somehow all of my job issues would magically disappear if i could work in an office this connected with the outdoors....

how amazing is this??

oh no...
i was looking on seesaw designs' blog today and saw a posting about the bookcase of the day feature on the blog i suwannee...

(oooh.... holly - the navy walls....)

(this one is my very fave....)
this could be bad. i don't know if you knew this, but one of my criterion for my perfect-world amazing apartment is some serious built-in bookshelves. i find myself being a total snoop when i'm walking down a street and i see a great bookshelf in someone's apartment window. i'm only a little obsessed. now this blog is going to feed my obsession and probably make me extremely jealous at the same time....

helen amy murray
i found this at work today while browsing for materials.
helen amy murray is a british textile artist who works with leathers, suede, and other great fabrics to create surface relief patterns that are insanely beautiful. she has several designs and has also applied some of her work to some fabulous furniture. i'm obsessed.
here are just some of my favorites. her website has even more great stuff.

stunning patterns.

i mean, the egg chair with peonies? how much better could it get? also, i am quite obsessed with the peacock tub chair.....
