rainbow books

so, i finally got a bookcase for my apartment! - there's no longer an unsightly stack of books on the floor in the den, but instead we have this from west elm. (again, thanks santa!) not only do i love this style of bookshelf, but it is also about the only one i could find that would actually fit in my tiny apartment...

i have some really gorgeous images of books grouped by color saved on my computer (and by this point, sadly, i don't even remember where they came from - new years resolution: be more organized.). so i attempted to do that with my own books. 

i don't know if it worked AS well as these because i had to work with the books i have...but i think it's alright... 

ta da!... (sidenote: please note the large amount of "__ For Dummies" books in the yellow section!... does that tell you anything??)
