so i went to artwalk last weekend...it went from 2nd ave north to morris avenue...it was one of those great birmingham community things...any way this is the photography of a guy named bob miller...he had his series from kenya there, they were so beautiful and so deep...they make you think...well here is some more of his work...check out his website too

apples are good....

to continue in the vein of letter-writing, these are about the cutest things i've ever seen. they're embossed stickers from the small object that you can put on your letters to request a reply! - they read, "apples are good, peaches are better. if you like me at all, you will respond to this letter." - ha! - i HAVE to buy some of these!

postage with the mostage

these are so cute! - Greer Chicago has gone through vintage, unused US stamps that add up to the current postage rate and attached them to colorful envelopes - what a great surprise to send someone a letter with such great vintage stamps... not that the eames or beatles stamps aren't fabulous enough, but what a treat these are! 

p.s. - if you look closely at some of the images shown on the "postage with the mostage" page, there are some vintage Alabama stamps.... fresh from our stompin' grounds!...
