elle decor goes to birmingham!

so this isn't necessarily new news - but i just remembered to buy my january/february copy of elle decor today. because they have a story all about birmingham! - kind of like a little city guide, and you can read it here.

i haven't made it all the way through the article, but i am enjoying it so far... and i especially love the little map drawn by lena corwin!

i am especially loving these images from everyday beauty... images of a house they stumbled upon on an everyday country drive...

it's a little rundown, but if i were to be so lucky to move in i don't think i would change all that much... it's so beautiful in its current state. this blog has been on a roll lately - love it!

yesterday design*sponge featured food photography from jennifer davick, a photographer based in birmingham! - she works for southern living, did you know her when you worked there, holly?

the photographs featured on this posting are beautifully done, and the recipe sounds delicious! - i'm glad to know of another talented artist, and excited that she's from our hometown!!

a southern fete

it may help that the bride, groom, and photographers are all friends of ours from auburn, but even if that weren't the case i would probably say that chris and christi's wedding is one of my favorites! - it was such a classic, old south wedding (um, ceremony under an old oak tree, anyone??) but it still managed to feel very modern (her dress! the guys' ties!...)

everything about the wedding was absolutely beautiful, and it was photographed SO well!

southern roots

well as if i don't already have enough blogs to follow, i just stumbled upon this (fairly) new blog, called beauty everyday. it's by three ladies in athens, ga, all of whom have something to do with r.wood ceramics. 

beautiful photography, delicious recipes, and a great celebration of southern culture... and now on my (ever-growing) list of blogs to check every day...
