Tenth Ave North Promo Design

here is some promo stuff i did for Tenth Ave North, a band coming this August to perform at Briarwood

so this weekend was a pretty big one for me. in kind of a last-minute decision, i agreed to do the flowers for my friends ben and sara's wedding which was yesterday (sidenote - their announcement made the cut for the nytimes wedding section!!!).

it was kind of a leap of faith since i'd never done flowers for anyone other than myself/family before - and never on this scale... but i think everything turned out well! thankfully the venues were amazing already and didn't need any huge dramatic arrangements because i know i couldn't have pulled it off if they did...

anyway, i had such a fun time doing it and was pretty excited about how it all turned out.... so now i am trying to hatch a plan for how to quit my day-job and do flowers forever... here are some pics!

tipsy parson

i am not even sure how long this restaurant has been open - i could be way behind the curve on this one... but tonight is the first time i've heard of tipsy parson... it was mentioned in this interesting article from garden & gun on the "southern invasion" in nyc...

so i took a gander (reading the article made me start speaking in super-southern apparently) and started drooling... over the food, beautiful photography, and general good southern vibes i got from their website. see below (sorry for the obscene amount - this is the edited group, i swear.):

so cute. so southern. i must visit stat. who wants to come with me?

and i loooove these flats from j.crew, but could we please do a comparison? 

i saw these flats in target this weekend... AND they are $12!! - i mean... i do love you, j.crew - but please. 

i think this print from fey handmade is great.

and so is this tiny lil' bike rubber stamp

and also... i think this hat is super cute! - but i'm not quite sure i could pull it off....??
